The technology of generations X and Y is phasing out like a sunset over the ocean. Each minute of the sun is like another piece of old technology being updated, made obsolete or discarded altogether. At the same time as these two generations’ technology sun sets, the I generation’s sun is rising with each piece of the old technology fading away and bringing to light newer and more advanced technology. Despite this, this technology will fade in time just as the new sun sets and gives rises to a new day and new technology. Educators need to be aware of this change and try and keep up with it by evolving their ICT skills in order to keep up with the new generation. The train of technology keeps on rolling.
